Welcome to the Jungle – lawn care and chemo

Mowed the lawn for the first time since before Shannon’s surgery. It feels good to get rid of the jungle. Carter came out to watch, then he and his mommy were making faces at me through the window. Those kinds of distractions are so good for my heart right now. We go see the radiation and chemotherapy oncologists tomorrow. 12 of 13 lymph node were infected according to the pathology, so we really need to get a handle on next steps. But, as Shannon said right after surgery in her dilaudid-induced stupor, “Bring it! Radiation, chemo, whatever. I’m on it.”
