We got some new drugs

Shannon’s back home. They let her leave the hospital shortly after dinner. Her dad was with her most of the day, so I didn’t have to take time off work. She would have worried about me too much if I was there with her, so it gave her chance to focus on herself. The fluids seem to have helped us beat back some of nausea for the time being. She is still somewhat weak due to the dehydration, so they ran a few tests this morning just to make sure there wasn’t something else going on. She passed.

She goes back in tomorrow for more fluids. Let’s hope it’s not a repeat of Monday where a quick trip turned into an overnight stay. They’re getting her some Scopolamine patches and Reglan to help control residual nausea, and steroids to improve her energy. We’re well on our way to understanding this.
