Cuts like a knife

Had my pre-op appointment today with my ENT in preparation for sinus surgery. I will be going under the knife for a change instead of Shannon. It’s my first surgery since I had my wisdom teeth out, and the first under general anesthesia since I was two-years-old. Coincidentally, that first surgery was to put tubes in my ears, and she’s putting tubes in this time, too. Better yet, i just found out she was a med student at the hospital that performed that first surgery. She’s performing what’s called an uncinectomy to remove my uncinate process so my sinuses will drain normally.

I go in on February 3. After 15 sinus infections in the last year and chronic sinusitis for 36, I’m ready for some relief. I’m like a walking pharmacy these days.
