This too shall pass

We’re still working on getting Shannon’s nausea under control, and her doctors have a plan. Step 1 is to observe her overnight to better figure out what works and what doesn’t. Hopefully, she’ll get to come home tomorrow. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go pack her some jammies.

Who needs sleep?

1st round of chemo: Fail. Too much nausea + loss of fluids = 2:30 am trip to the emergency room. She home now and resting. The IV fluids and anti-nausea medication seems to have done the trick. Just needed to break the cycle and keep her healthy.

Ebony and Ovaries

Chemo day. Just one last stop. The oncologist wanted an ultrasound. Seems that the PET scan she had last week showed a spot on one of her ovaries. Nothing to be terribly concerned about; it was just something to review.

Life goes on in our house

Shannon’s lump was found 6 weeks ago today. Tomorrow, she starts chemotherapy. A lot went on before then and a lot has happened since then, but life goes on.
